Support Team
The Support Team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of WIACT Ghana. Team members provide administrative, logistical, and technical support across the organization’s programmes and day-to-day activities. They assist in coordinating events, managing communications, supporting field activities, maintaining records, and ensuring that staff and partners receive the assistance they need to achieve project objectives.
Working behind the scenes, the Support Team contributes to the successful implementation of WIACT Ghana’s initiatives by promoting efficiency, teamwork, accountability, and excellent service to communities, partners, and stakeholders.
Website Administrator
The Website Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the WIACT Ghana website to ensure it remains accurate, secure, informative, and user-friendly. This role involves updating website content, publishing news and project updates, maintaining multimedia resources, monitoring website performance, improving accessibility, and ensuring visitors can easily access information about the organization’s programmes, research, publications, and opportunities.
The Website Administrator also works closely with programme staff and the Media Officer to ensure the website reflects WIACT Ghana’s mission, achievements, and ongoing impact while maintaining a professional online presence.
Media Officer
The Media Officer leads WIACT Ghana’s communications and public engagement efforts by promoting the organization’s work through digital and traditional media platforms. The role includes creating compelling stories, producing photographs and videos, managing social media platforms, preparing press releases, designing communication materials, and documenting project activities and community impact.
The Media Officer works to strengthen WIACT Ghana’s visibility, amplify the voices of local communities, engage supporters and partners, and communicate the organization’s achievements to national and international audiences.
Fundraising Officer
The Fundraising Officer is responsible for mobilizing financial resources to support WIACT Ghana’s programmes and long-term sustainability. The role focuses on identifying funding opportunities, developing high-quality grant proposals, building relationships with donors and development partners, coordinating fundraising campaigns, and supporting resource mobilization initiatives.
The Fundraising Officer collaborates closely with the leadership team to secure funding that advances WIACT Ghana’s mission of promoting indigenous knowledge, cultural heritage, environmental conservation, community development, and sustainable livelihoods. Through strategic partnerships and innovative fundraising approaches, the officer helps ensure the organization can expand its impact and serve more communities.
