Volunteer Responsibilities

Our volunteers are expected to:

  • Represent the World Institute of Africa Culture and Traditions (WIACT) professionally and ethically at all times.

  • Respect local cultures, customs, traditions, and community values.

  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination.

  • Protect the dignity, wellbeing, safety, and rights of all programme participants and beneficiaries.

  • Comply with WIACT’s safeguarding, child protection, code of conduct, and organisational policies.

  • Work collaboratively with staff, partners, volunteers, researchers, and community members.

  • Serve as ambassadors for African cultural heritage and sustainable global development.
